Pre-Care (before treatment):
1. Avoid sunbathing and self-tanning:
The skin should be as close to its natural color as possible before treatment. Avoid sunbathing, tanning beds, and self-tanning products at least 4-6 weeks before treatment.
2. Shave the area:
Shave the desired area a day or two before the treatment. This allows the laser to precisely target the hair root without interference from surface hair.
3. Avoid plucking or waxing:
Do not pluck, wax, or use epilators on the area at least 4-6 weeks before treatment.
4. Avoid creams or lotions:
On the day of treatment, avoid applying creams, lotions, perfumes, or deodorants to the area to be treated.
5. Inform the technician:
If you are taking any medication or have changes in the skin, be sure to inform the technician before treatment.
Post-Care (after treatment):
1. Avoid direct sunlight:
After treatment, the skin may be more sensitive. Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 1-2 weeks and use a high-SPF sunscreen.
2. Cool the skin:
If you feel discomfort or swelling, use cold compresses or aloe vera-based gels.
3. Avoid heat:
After treatment, avoid hot baths, saunas, or exercise for at least 24-48 hours.
4. Do not pluck hairs:
As hairs fall out after treatment, it may be tempting to pluck them. However, let the hairs fall out naturally.
5. Hydrate:
Use mild moisturizing creams to keep the skin hydrated and healthy.
6. Avoid aggressive products:
For a few days after treatment, avoid using aggressive skin products, such as retinoids, scrubs, or acids.
