What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup is a cosmetic technique in which color is introduced into the top layer of the skin to achieve a long-lasting effect. It is also known as micropigmentation because tiny needles are used to deposit color into the skin, creating the appearance of makeup applied to the skin. The application areas are diverse and include eyebrows, lip contours, eyeliner, blush.
Unlike traditional makeup, permanent makeup does not wear off and can last for several years, although it may require occasional touch-ups. An annual color refreshment is recommended. The technique is performed in specially designed salon spaces by trained professionals.
The process of Permanent Makeup - Eyebrow Micro-pigmentation
The process begins with a consultation, during which you can discuss your desired look with the permanent makeup artist. The artist may provide recommendations on how to optimize the shape and color of your eyebrows. Then, the process starts with local anesthesia to minimize pain and discomfort.
We establish the proportions of the eyebrows and achieve a perfect BROW design that you need to review and confirm. After that, we select the appropriate pigment color for you based on the desired outcome, the color of your eyebrow hair, and your skin tone & undertone.
You will be provided with a mirror to examine the Permanent makeup-drawn proportion BROW design as well as to see and confirm the pigment color that will be used for the permanent makeup. Permanent makeup pigments are implanted between the first and second layers of the skin, resulting in a velvety appearance of the eyebrows.
Before each treatment, a facial proportion analysis is performed, ensuring that the eyebrows remain in perfect proportion and harmonize with the face.
After the drawing, the skin and eyebrow area are disinfected, and an anesthetic is applied to minimize pain during the process. Then, a special pigment is inserted into the skin using an electric handpiece and a fine needle. The needle is gently moved over the skin to create color dots that simulate the appearance of natural powder or shading.
The process typically takes about 2 hours, and it may require two or more sessions to achieve the desired result. After the procedure, a cream is applied to the eyebrows.
It's important to note that the color on the eyebrows can appear strong and unnatural in the first few days after the process. However, this can fade within one to two weeks, resulting in a natural appearance.
Furthermore, it's important to follow the instructions provided by your permanent makeup artist to ensure a quick healing process and a satisfying outcome. The permanent makeup process consists of 2 parts with a one-month interval.
